Sakura Wedding

For SG wedding reception...
Colour Scheme : Grey-Pink (of cos with different hues and tones)
Theme : Japan Inspired

From the hantaran baskets, to the decoration at the reception venue...all will all be Japan-related.
So for now, I need to gather lots and lots of ideas which I can use for the wedding..:D

Paper Lanterns
Not just the usual circular paper lanterns..

but...paper lanterns of all shapes and sizes is a MUST!
Note: look at how they combined the square-shaped, circular, oval-shaped lanterns....beautiful!

Sakura Blossoms
My fav flower!! Fell in love with it during my trip to Japan in spring 2010...
How I wished I could get married under a full-bloom sakura tree!! but...too bad....have to settle for fake ones then...
Me admiring sakura blossoms at UENO Park

it will look something like this? tapi mcm ne tu aku nak buat...LOL...

Origami
I will add some elements of Origami in my hantaran baskets / guestbook / photobooth / room deco?

will think of more and update this entry...

Kimono-Inspired

I'm missing Japan badly!!!
and with the current tragedy Japan is experiencing..i really wish them well.. :(

anyway...I am inspired to have a japan, korea related kind of wedding...
maybe Oriental Theme might fit??then i can also include our asian + malay traditional lements??

with parasols and lanterns for decorations..
spring blossom motifs for invites and cake...
kimono-inspired kurung moden for my solemnization?
clogs? paper fans?

I don't know...

Spring Colours

Popular spring colours...

Spring Wedding

Had been super busy with work and hari raya celebrations that i have put off my wedding preparation.
It may seem quite early to start the preparation (or so i think)..(well i have a year) BUT...i foresee things will get hectic later on with work, study (starting in October, with assigments, projects and all..OMG) and Abi won't be around to help out or give ideas.

So....i SHOULD start deciding some thing now...NOW.

But its not that simple...we have not even decided  on the theme and colour scheme yet. Surveying online only makes things worst...simply can't decide!!! haha....

I need to focus!!!

OK....we will still stick to "simplicity" for the reception in Singapore and i have initially decided to go with the "garden theme". However, it seems that it is a common theme...so how about if i change it to SPRING THEME. (memories of sprintime in Japan and cherry blossoms...weeee~!!!)

What do u think Abi? (ok.ok.i won't change my mind anymore...hehe)

and...should we go with a similar theme in KL or choose a totally different theme for contrast??

Singapore Garden Festival

Yesterday's school outing to Singapore Garden Festival was a feast to my eyes.
Beautiful flowers, cleverly designed gardens.
It'll be so cool if I could DIY my pelamin like that.
Using nature and everyday materials.

Simple and different.

I am inspired.

has anyone DIY their pelamins?
